Review: Megagamie Boho Eyelet Shrug in Cream

HOHOHO! Got tempted by Lihan after seeing her review!! And sure it didn't disappoint me, as always! :D Great for hot weather but don't want to show my fat arms days, hehe. Some may think it's considered thin for its price, but I don't think thick means good quality, that's just me, of course. :)

Material is very smooth, the eyelet is well done, definitely not the flimsy kind. :) Love the cream color, not too yellowish. It will probably suit tight fitting clothes more since it's loose fitting, you don't wanna look baggy! ;)

The only thing I don't like is the attached sash, I look super funny that way and I hardly wear bodycon dresses, so I prefer to tied it to the back. Heh. :)

Review: Amelie-Anne Caitlin in Midnight Blue

Since the advertorial post I did for Amelie-Anne, I started taking notice of this growing blogshop. ;) Their designs do impressed me. :)

This dress caught my attention when I saw the owner wearing it and I thought it's really pretty. But my work had taken so much of my energy to keep track with the blogshops updates (and social happenings) I soon forgot about it. ><

Then one day as I was in facebook, I saw their flash sales and this dress was on sales!! So I tried my luck and got it hehe!

Material is really good, I would say, so I don't think the lighter color will be sheer. Shoulder straps are adjustable and can be tied differently. :) Elastic band at the waist to show off your curve. <3 It definitely did not disappoint me. :D

The down side of this dress is it's a little too shiny for my liking, and the sash that came with it, the width is probably just half of a normal sash we usually would see, so I think it's pretty hard to hide the elastic band at the waist. I would definitely use my own sash/belt for that. ):

Worth the original price? 3/5
Worth the sales price? 4/5! :D

A quick review!

If you notice, I wore this top on my birthday as shown in my birthday post! :D I really like it, simple and adorable, hehe. Perfect for work, especially on days I woke up late. :x

Slightly sheer but it's acceptable in my opinion. But it's a little low cut for my liking so I always pair with a spag top or tube. :)

Oh and did I say I love the contrast collar? :D I seriously think this top can match EVERYTHING. Versatility? I'm lovin' it!

Worth the price? 3.5/5 :)

Those who read my tweet probably saw me tweeting that I am determine to blog this weekend, and here I am keeping my words! And of course Ah Le is mugging in front of me now, wahahahahaha!! I shall be a good friend and not disturb her hehe.

So exactly a month ago was my birthday, was totally not looking forward to it as parents are overseas (as usual), boyfriend was in camp, girlfriends were busy, and I HAD TO WORK! ):

But 3 lovely ladies, Veron, Janice & Ivy changed my awful feeling that day! <3 Oh and of course Janice's adorable daughter! :D

The planned a simple celebration for me even though it was a weekday night, and I feel really touched, I mean, we have only known each other for a few months but they were willing to make time for me on my special day. <3

Got really tempted after seeing Lihan's review and chanced upon it when LB restocked! ;ppp

I have nothing but raves for it, especially the embellishments, they are mad love! Sophisticated? I would say yes! Just throw on a pair of heels and you'll look glam and chic! :D

Inner lining is thick so no worries of sheerness even under strong light. :) Embellishments are definitely not flimsy.

But but, I am letting it go ): , cause it's really an impulse buy and I realised I have no occasion to wear it. ): And I kinda just feel that I look weird in high neck apparels. Oh well. D:

Worth the price? 4.5/5! :DD

Managed to hunt down this piece thanks to Lihan! <3 Yes, another prints? Hahahahaha!

Sized up this time since it's their PETITE range. :) Cutting and material is awesome, no wonder everyone is hunting it down! It's a gorgeous piece to own. The lining is in black, sew together with the toga itself? So definitely not sheer at all. :) Color is slightly duller than in pictures but still lovely.

Still, I decided to let go this piece as I really don't think it look that good on me. OMG, fat arms, fat legs. ):

Sorry for the lack of update! Can't believe this is my 2nd post for 2012, since 3 weeks ago. :x

Guilty confess: I still have been buying even though the lack of reviews posted here & in flowerpod, LOL. *OOPS*

So here's the pretty highly raved Love, Bonito Fayette Bustier, thanks to Janice who carted out for me! <3

I am never a fan of prints, and confirmed that just by looking at my wardrobe, the clothes are all solid colors, hohoho.

So this is like my 1st apparel with prints and I really like it. :) It's not sheer even though it's white *phew*, and the cutting is fab, shows off waist hehehe. But it does squeeze pits fats, which I have a lot!! ): So prefer wearing it with straps. :)

Slightly padded with no wire, so busty girls can wear without bra lol. *WEE WEE* ;)

Think this is gonna be a really versatile top, goes well with jeans, maxi/midi skirts, bandage skirts, flare pants and I am imagining more! :D

Worth the price? 4/5! :D

2012 New Year Resolutions :)

Awesome countdown night with HF. <3

Had a really boring new year day as I was stuck at home watching shows all day ):, and ended up with a list of new year resolutions. Hee. ._.v

1) Save more money! Seriously need to control my spending. ><"
2) Practice more on my make up skills, have a plan, and hopefully can carry out in this year. :D
3) Shed at least 5 - 7 kg!! ):
4) Stop being lazy and protect my skin!
5) Pick up my reading again.
6) Sleep early! Especially on weekdays. BLEAH.
7) Decide on the course of study.
8) Work hard and try to love my job more. Lol.
9) Be a better daughter to my parents. ^^
10) Be a better girlfriend to my boy! ;p

I think one of the best thing happened to me in 2011 is that I got to know the awesome Megagamie sisters. :D Love how they love each other in their own way. :)

Before anyone starts to shoot me with bullets accusing me of doing free reviews for them, I just wanna say even though we are friends now, I still pay to buy their clothes, friends may be friends, but no business will provide you with free lunch, they are not charity. Besides, if they need someone to advertise for them, they will find popular bloggers. So, please save your accusations.

Yes, for a month or so, I was helping them out, and I think I really learned many many things. And of course, that taught me to be more patient with other blogshops too lol. I always knew running an online shop is not easy, but now I understand even better the difficulties that has to be overcome. And many times, they have no control when problems occur, and even though it's not the owners' faults, customers blame on them. Of course, who else can they blame? But is it really the owners' fault? Who bothers? And as customers, we have a public forum to complain, what about them? If they voice out and explain, they become unprofessional. There was a day where Mega & I stayed in the office to pack stocks and BO till pass 2am, but who praise them for their hard work? Who actually realize that they are human too?

I am speaking from my point of view as a customer as well as a helper, I am not just siding MGG.

Anyway, my work with them was stopped rather suddenly because I had to do an operation (no further elaboration on that), and I felt really bad. ><"

Managed to meet them up for a proper dinner and I realized they are really crazy BLEAH.

Review: The Closet Lover Colorblock Candy Dress in Cobalt Blue (S)

I honestly think Constance really carry off clothes very well! Everything look so pretty on her. ;pp This dress is awesome! The inner lining is really thick, not sheer at all. But I feel that the colors are different from TCL photos. Their blue is really cobalt but irl it's more like a royal purple to me, and the pink shade is more like an orange-y coral irl. But the colors are still very pretty. :) Armholes are definitely big as seen in their photos, but I never like small armholes because they make arms look fat. ><" Overall I am very happy with the purchase, I think it will look really pretty on girls who have boney shoulders. Mine is so meaty. ):

Hohoho! Christmas is on the wayyyyy! Merry christmas in advance! :)

Just gonna do a fast review, and then need to prepare to blog about 2 gatherings, hopefully will be up before ~~christmas~~ new year. :x

First time getting a corset, always feel insecure wearing tubes/corsets. My assets are really tiny okay. ><" Material is pretty luxe but considered thin. Cutting is awesome, I love every bits of it except for its size!!! T.T I followed the measurement and it seems to run small so I sized up, but apparently I was wrong. It seems fine looking from the front but at the side, BIG HOLES! *SIGHS* Thankfully, Veron managed to help me found someone who wants to trade for M with her S hehe!

Slim Cut Pocket Chinos in Black (S)

I always feel very insecure about my legs cause they are really fat. >< Also my new job required me to wear pants so I was on a lookout. This chino caught my eyes and I am really glad I bought this. The cutting is really flattering. :) Material is very comfy, not too thick nor thin. But the cutting for this chinos runs slightly big cause I can wear size S lol. So for girls who are UK 6 or below for bottoms might be loose. My only issue will be the slight tightness at the calves area, which is my problem since I have fat calves. ): Lol. Overall, I am really satisfied with my purchase. I am now really tempted to get the blue piece too. Babes who are looking for pants, I would say go for it. :)

Go Neon Blazer in Royal Blue

This highly raved blazer needs no intro, I should have gotten it long time ago! I thought it looks oversized on me when I tried it on last time at KJ/FD, but I am still really tempted and gave in in the end. ;p I tried to pair with heels and it definitely looks better, guessed it looks oversized on me cause I am short. >.> Haha. Cutting is super flattering! Love it to bits! :D (Color is not true to my picture, it's true to MGG's photo, very pretty shade of blue.)

Review: Hollyhoque Satin-Cuffs Full Sleeves Blazer - White/Champagne (S)

*Ahem* Have been really lazy to update and am always mad tired from work since Monday that I just wanna drop dead on my bed every day once I reach home lol. So far I am still feeling neutral about my new job, I guessed I will see how things progress eh. :)

So, review for this blazer! :D

I really like the cutting of this blazer. :) And the color of the blazer is true to description: pure white, haha, so it looks kinda bright, but if you are looking for a white blazer, not cream, not beige, but white, this is the one for you. I love the champagne lining, it gives a really classic feel to the blazer. :)

As for the material, I don't really fancy it, would have prefer a smoother material, like those that are usually used to make blazers. The material is stated polyester blend, which I have no idea what's that lol, but I don't really think it's worth the $31.50. Maybe just my personal opinion. :)

Overall, I am still quite happy with the buy, just wished it's not as expensive. Still considering if I wanna keep it. x)

Worth the price? 7/10 :)

Review: Hollyhoque Multi-Way Wide Leg Jumpsuit in Navy (M)

I am usually not a fan of jumpsuit because I am SHORT! =.= But when I saw Hollyhoque's preview, it looked really flattering on the models! BUT I missed the launched so didn't get it. >< BUTBUT, after thinking and thinking again, I decided to try my luck and emailed them to check on the availability for black/navy, and navy was available! :D (I prefer black though. Bleah.)

And I love the jumpsuit immediately when I received it! :D I was worried that it might emphasize on my hip but luckily it didn't. ;p Material is really smooth and I would say it does worth the $29 (free normal mail)! I have short torso so I can cross the strap but the pants will be slightly pulled up, so I still prefer to wear it the normal way, the down side is that the strap keep dropping lol!

Worth the price? 8.5/10! :)

Hohoho! Those who read my blog would have know that I met this group of awesome girls via online shopping and Flowerpod and even had our first meetup in August! :D We had a group chat in whatsapp and literally talk to each other everyday. :) The things we shared are not only online shopping, as well as random thoughts and whines, I really appreciate that they are always ready to listen and give advises and supports, even though we have only known each other for a few months, it feels like we have been friends forever, I always wonder what have I done to deserve them. :')

Anyways, we had our second meetup after much waiting!! Had to fit in everyone's schedule so not to miss anyone out! ;) It was a pity that Chings couldn't make it though, she is probably very very busy with her schedule. Chings, we are always waiting for you to come back! :D

We also have a new "member", Simin, joining our clique and I am glad we all are able to click instantly without much awkwardness! :D I still remember the butterflies inside my stomach during the first meetup lol! She was probably feeling the same while on the way to meet us? LOL. Don't worry, we are very friendly! :PPPP

So we had our meetup at Marmalade Pantry @ ION, and oops, we were the noisiest group that night hahaha!

Review: Hollyhoque Two-Tiers Embellished Shoulders Dress in Navy (S)

Have been eyeing on this dress when they launched but decided not to get it cause I don't think there's any suitable occasion for it. BUT when I saw it on sales, I just grabbed it without thinking lol. ;p I wanted the black but I was carting out using my phone so was too slow, and I think their cream is kinda too mature for my liking, so navy it is! :D

I have to say this dress is totally a steal! It was initially $30 and I managed to get it at $20. :P The material is definitely worth the $30! Especially the embellishments! They are really pretty! And when I received the dress, I really like the shade! Ahem, okay I am biased cause I love navy. ;p

The dress is slightly short but acceptable. Now I just have to find occasion to wear it out! :DD (Pardon my fat arms and fat legs. >_>)

Mad love this blazer! I owe many blazers except one decent black blazer, irony much? Hahaha! All thanks to Veron (Please read her blog if you want to see more reviews!) ! She's so kind to let me tried her Dusty Rose and I love the fit!

Quality is definitely awesome and it's slightly shoulder padded. Have nothing but raves to describe the blazer. ~~Probably the only complaint will the the non-functional pockets. ><~~ EDIT: Er, the pockets are functional LOL!

I was quite worry about the sizing as many reviewed that this batch's cutting is bigger, finally collected from her last Friday and love them to bits! White seem to be slightly sheer if you wear dark colored innerwear, but I am okay with the sheerness! (: Previously I had the Size S and find that the armhole was small, this time round it seems to be quite loose but I prefer it this way. Super happy with the tops! :D

Not exactly a fan of toga 'cause of my fat arms! But I really like this top, material is super comfy and smooth! PTP is slightly loose for me but at least it doesn't squeeze armpit fats! LOL. I guessed Hollywood tape will do the trick! ;) Not sheer at all and the cutting is awesome! Shows off the waist really well, but definitely prefer wearing it with a belt, hee. Overall, very pleased with the top!

Strictly Pancakes!

Met up with Jingting, Jiabao & Abel for dinner last Saturday. Jingting suggested Strictly Pancakes, which I thought it was weird to have pancakes for dinner hahahaha.

The place was full so we were placed on the waiting list. When we went back half an hour later, they called and we were happily seated! :D

It's a little cozy restaurant. :))

They have main course, served with pancakes of course, but I didn't fancy the combination so I ordered a dessert dish instead. :)

1) Top 5 fall makeup items?

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved

I wouldn't say it's just one of my top fall makeup items, cause I used it all the time and loving it! Except the fact that I don't owe many pencil eyeliners (hee), I think it's a great product! I believed many have heard raves about it anyway. :) I mainly use it for tight lining, I usually draw my eyes with liquid/gel liners, but I don't draw them often, I find it hard to draw my eyes somehow. ): I have just started trying the Dolly Wink Pencil Liner but I have not use it long enough to make it to my top 5 fall makeup items, so, we'll see again! ;p

Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On

I am a mascara junkie! Okay, at least for now. LOL. I have about 10 mascaras till date and I still have a list of to-buy mascaras heehee! But so far my favorites would be the 4 mentioned above.

Have been alternating them most often! But my CG mascara has dried up so need to get a new one soon! ;p But if I have to choose just 1, that would be the Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On! I prefer volume to lengthening, and this MM mascara does a great job! But it's on the slightly pricer side so I love my CG mascara as much and it's cheaper! Just a little hard to find, gotta find it online!

As for the other 2, sometimes they do make my lashes look weird, so it depends on which days I am lucky hahahaha! I am thinking of doing reviews on all my mascaras but I am no beauty guru, so I don't know if I would do a good job. Should I? :)

Garnier Light BB Instant Fairness Eye Roll-On

I hardly have any concealer, to be frank, not exactly a fan of them, but I used to use MAC Select Moisurecover concealer to cover my eye circle, and I still like it, but I really hate when it creases and looks disgusting. So I got this when it launched and I love it to bits! It still creases a little but not as much. And I think it does brighten my under eye area, making me look less tired. :D But I don't think it would help much if you have very seriously eye circle. Hmm.

NARS Laguna Bronzer

Heard many many raves about this so I got 2 during my HK trip LOL! And yes, I love it and never look back, don't even wanna try other bronzers! ... Okay, that's just a joke. :x Gives me some colors on my face without looking orange and you can hardly see the shimmering! I hate shimmering on my face (except eyes). I usually just dust on some and off I go!

Sleek Storm Palette

I love neutral eyeshadows! Although I am always lazy to put them on, just once in awhile if I have the spare time. ;p The eyeshadow pigments are awesome! Feel very soft and creamy? I am thinking to get the Sleek Au Naturale Palette! Oops. I love my Too Faced Natural Eye Palette too, but it's pricey. ):

I hardly use foundation so none of them make it to the top 5. Probably will be in the top 6th or 7th. Lol.

2) Favorite Fall hair product?

Essential Damage-Care Rich Premier Nourishing Care Lotion

This leaves my hair ends soft without the sticky feel! :D But I need to be more hardworking to apply it more often. >.>

3) Favorite Fall Nail Polish?

NONE! I have short and ugly nails! ):

4) Favorite Fall scent?

Hmm how should I describe scent? Strong scents and super sweet scents are a no-no to me. I usually use my perfumes one or two at a time so I take quite long to finish them. Took out all of them to smell and I pick my Chloé Rose Edition for fall season!

5) Most worn clothing item & accessory?

Guess what are these?! No price for correct answer. ;p

Forever 21 spaghetti straps! $5 each! Just throw on an outerwear and good to go! :D

Besides basics, outerwear are my all time favorite, especially blazers and jackets! And outerwear are perfect to wear during fall, together with a scarf! But I guessed you will probably find yourself sauna-ing in your own outfit if you wear such combination in Singapore. Lol. Have been wearing and loving the Megagamie Military Boyfriend Blazer in Moss Green! :D

Spot my outerwear at the back? Lol.

As for accessories, I guessed I still have not find one that I wear most cause I usually alternate them, or I will just wear the usual necklace that my mum got for me. :)

Went to town with Min on Tue to have our hair pampered. :) But no photos for the day as I guessed she wasn't in the mood. Hope she is feeling much better now! :)

Confession of the day: I spent like about $50 just on accessories!? Maybe it's not a big deal for some of you but I have never done that before lol! *GUILTY*

Got this from a random jewelry shop which we passed by in Far East Plaza. I think it's really unique and the sales lady said that it's made from France? WOW. But that doesn't matter, what I really like is that they are collecting the money to build schools in I-forgot-which-country for the children! So that's charity work, right!? Hee. *I hope she's not lying!*

If you are an accessories lover, check them out at #05-55 @ FEP! You might find something you like and doing charity at the same time. :)) Kill two birds with one stone? YEA!

Oh, by the way this only costs $18! I was expecting it to be over $30.

Then I got myself another 2 items from DIVA. :x

Saw this on Ah Le the other day and I fell in love with it! So tried my luck and found it! <3 Loving the vintage feel. :>

Got myself a ring as well, it was so hard to find my size! It's not a good thing to have small hands. =.=

They are having Buy 2 Get 1 Free now! So got Min a cute hairband! :)

While browsing through all the accessories, I kinda missed the days where I used to make and sell my own pieces online too. (Yes, I had a humble online accessories shop, but stopped because didn't have the time.) And Min's encouragement set me considering to do it again, since all my parts are still sitting in my store room, lol.

Anyway, that's not the end! My favorite necklace which was bought recently from xxandspoon!

TADAA! Their self-manufactured Snow White Necklace, an inspired piece of the House of Harlow Sunburst Necklace, with a complimentary cloth just in case you dirty it, especially the white leather, how thoughtful! :D And a sweet thank-you note from the owner, Veron!

I am very particular with accessories, and I am really pleased with the cutting of the leather as well as the pedant that they have chosen. Unlike the other piece I got some time ago from another blogshop, the quality really does not worth the price tag. ):

So, needless to say, I love it to the max! :) Well, if you are not brand conscious and love HoH designs, this is a great alternative!

Had my first kite flying experience after many many years! I still remember we used to make our own kites when we were young, and of course, the kites hardly flied hahahaha! :P

It looked like a couples trip, except Adonis and Youyi, which we still paired them up as a "couple". xD

First stop: PassionKites, kites are now made so professionally, I was amazed!

A Mini Girlfriends Getaway!

Had a one night getaway with my girlfriends at Hard Rock Hotel @ RWS over the weekend and it's nothing but fun! :D

The weather was totally not helping, it was drizzling for almost the whole day! So no outdoor activity for us, boo. ): But that didn't spoil our fun, of course. We are pretty good at self entertaining hahaha!

On a side note, the service at Hard Rock Hotel was pretty unimpressive. :<

We discuss and review our loots in forum and later started chatting away in twitter! And one day, a mini meetup was suggested and got us all really excited! Of course it's not easy to find a time slot that fits 7 of us! But we managed to anyways! :>

I must say I was quite nervous too! I am pretty quiet around new people, but we clicked really fast and was talking away the moment we met! No awkwardness, as if we have known each other for a long time, guessed common interest brought us together really well. :)))

I am often asked, "How did you manage to live all by yourself, without parents by your side?" And my answer is always, "I don't know, haha."

It sounds like a very casual answer, but to me, it's never easy. It hurts.

Thinking back, ever since I started to have memories, my days with my parents were so little.

Most of the time, I stayed with grandma, and was then sent to Singapore for studies at 11. They sent me here for a better environment and future, I understand.

Every year, one of them come and go, leaving me feeling emotional for days after their departures.

Yes, life has been alone for the past 11 years, I should be used to it? No, I will never be. It still aches so much to wave them goodbyes. The pain suffocates, each and every time.

The house feels so cold, empty. The stillness constantly remains me that, I am alone.

I miss the sound coming from the kitchen, when my mum was always busy like a bee in there.

I miss her morning naggings, when I refused to get out of the bed in the morning.

I miss their presence.

As far as I remembered, I wished for the very same thing for the past 17 birthdays: family reunion.

When will my wish come true?

I believed many girls will never get enough bags, my mum always nags me that I have countless bags kekeke! :PI have bought bags online but they turn out to be really flimsy (The pretty pictures are deceiving! :<), the straps started to tear if I put too many things. ):So, I was very impressed with the quality of the bag upon receiving. I love this kind of satchel! I am not really a fan of big totes because I will tend to put a lot of things and my shoulder suffers. )< But don't look down on this small bag! It can fit all my stuff without looking bloated!

Just being random, I really like the metal part of the strap. Gives a very vintage feel! I like! :D

Ooops just realized I have not updated this space for more than 2 weeks. =x So here's a short update with loads pictures! :P

Went to Leiwin's 22nd birthday party at Marina Bay Sands Hotel on Sunday. It felt like as if we just celebrated her 21st birthday in a villa at Sentosa and this year we celebrated for her in a suite at MBS. :D

My jaw literally dropped when I entered the suite! It was so HUGE! It's even bigger than my house! And the size of each bedroom is about the size of my living room. :O Besides that, they have a small office room, walk-in wardrobe (!!!), 2 toilets which each is even bigger than my room, kitchen, ktv room, massaging room and a gym room with 2 gym equipments and a corner for hair cutting & hair washing!?

Life's so unfair. LOL.

For those who know me, I have started online shopping for quite some time, but I always stick to the popular blogshops for quality assurance (I am VERY picky!). ;p So I rarely look at new blogshops, and even if their designs caught my eyes, I would often think twice and ended up not buying. ): So when Liz approached me, I was a little skeptical, but then again, why not open to more options? :)

Liz is very easy-going and I received her parcel very fast! I always believe mailing speed is very important as customers would love to receive their items asap, and I am definitely one myself! ;pp (I had nasty experience which I had to wait till my neck long and the item was still waiting to be mailed out. :<)

To my pleasant surprise, the quality and cutting of both dresses are definitely worth the price tags! :D

Soffieanne Cascading Dress in Peacock Blue (M)

This is currently their latest manufactured design and I love the elegant look it provides. Match it with heels for dress up days and with wedges/flats for dress down days, versatility is always my favourite. :D (What's the point of getting something that can only wear once or twice? ;p) And I love it's zero sheerness, the inner lining used is definitely of good quality. (I always get so annoyed when the description states non-sheer but it turns out otherwise. :<)

I chose Peacock Blue for its unique color, but they also have it in Nude Cream & Salmon Blush Pink which are sweet looking and in Midnight Blue which looks really chic and feminine! I prefer to hinge it up with a belt. :)

And best of all? They have it in 2 sizes (S & M) to cater for more girls! Now, who says you must have a perfect figure to wear pretty clothes? Heh. ;D

Pair it with a blazer and off to work! :P

Yes, I know the color is COMPLETELY OFF :< (I told you! LOL). I was annoyed too and spent so much time trying to capture the real color, but still failed. ): Refer to their studio photos for the real color! :D

The Crystalbelle Dress in Royal Navy (S)

Another manufactured design from them which I love the most! Honestly, sweet is never my style, but this dress changed my mind. I was tempted to choose either the Nude Cream or Light Greyish Taupe, or even Blush Pink (SWEET!!), but I still ended up with Royal Navy since I am just not that sweet looking hahahaha! :P

Again, the inner lining used was superb, so not sheer AT ALL. Match it with different shoewear and accessories for different looks, yeah to great versatility! :D Available in 2 sizes too, S & M. :)

They also have other manufactured designs which I likey. :P Other colors are equally yummy! :D

Catch up & Harry Potter 7 (Part 2 3D)!

Yesterday met up with Sihui, like finally! :) We updated with each other's life and just keep talking and talking non-stop LOL. I am glad that things got better for her and sees that she's happier, and looks healthier (She was so skeleton-like previously!)! :D

Went home to rest awhile before meeting HF for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2) in 3D! I totally couldn't remember my last 3D experience (TRON) because half the time I was watching the movie without the 3D glasses, I was having my own glasses on, you see. HEHE. So this time I forced him to watch 3D with me kekekeke! :D
So he came to pick me up but he was not ready! =.= While waiting for him, I got bored and camwhored. ;p

And here we are! At The Grand Cathay waiting for the movie to start at 0045 hours! :DD

The movie was awesome! :D I love Harry Potter series, I still remember the series caught my eyes when I was on holiday in London back in 2001 and got hooked! That's also the reason I started to read story books! :) Now that both the books and movies have come to the end, I AM VERY SAD!! ):
Hmm.. But I realised that Harry's scar disappeared at the end of the movie, which the book STATES OTHERWISE! :< Ah well.
And the 3D effect was quite disappointing, so I would suggest not to waste your money to watch 3D for this movie. :)
Anyway, supper time! :D I was hungry! ;p

Finally managed to meet up with our little busy bee yesterday, Adeline! :> I feel so guilty for asking her to accompany me to Mustafa all the time heh ;p, cuz even HF makes endless excuses not to go there with me! :< (Mustafa is not a place I want to go, but i HAVE TO go.)

We quickly left the place after I finished my errands. :) And decided to head down to Chinatown for 田鸡粥 (Frog Porridge)! :DD I was a little surprised at her suggestion cuz it was such a blazing hot weather! LOLOL.

While waiting for our orders, it's camwhore time! :) But the lighting was really disgusting so we gave up.

The Lemon and Orange

It's been awhile since I blogged, kinda lost touch of the blogging feel, and most importantly, I have nothing to update! How is it possible that my life is so uninteresting? *SIGHS*

I know the title of this post is a little weird, got the inspiration after starring (while editing) at the photos for hours, I mean, LOOK AT OUR TOPS! Heh.

Yesterday lunch at QQ Noodles House at Bugis with Ah Le, yes I know the noodles do not look appetizing, at all. LOL.

The spice in my Tom Yam Seafood Noodles irritate my throat so much that I ended up coughing like crazy ): , so I gave up and attacked Ah Le's noodles instead, who actually pour a spoonful of soya sauce into her noodles, thinking it was vinegar. :D

Anyway, we spent the whole afternoon & night at Bugis. I believed we have walked Bugis Street at least 4 times lolol. But our trip was not fruitful cuz we hardly bought anything. I think I spent mostly on food, I am too deprived of outside food. Keke.

On a happy note, I found a pair of ultra comfy sandals at BHG which I immediately change into and threw away my disgusting sandals that was causing my ankles to ACHE SO MUCH! :D

We were still pretty energetic so we decided to walk to Cityhall, and snapping away along the way! :)

This is the place where I learned many things that I had never come across, in fact, much more than I have ever imagined. I am definitely gonna miss my friends and wish them the very best in their following chapters of their lives. :)

DAY 6 - HONGKONG

We wanted to have dim sum at this infamous dim sum restaurant but by the time we reached there, the queue was WOW! So we ended up in some random restaurant and fortunately the food was nice! :D

For the past few days we have been taking the hotel shuttle bus to the centre of Mongkok so we hardly know how to walk to Mongkok MTR station, even though my Godfather showed us on our first day. ;p So today the map came in helpful!

Annnnddddd... WE FOUND IT! So proud of ourselves HAHAHAHA! ;p

Min & I spent Day 7 doing some last shopping around Mongkok area and we headed back to Guangzhou in the evening. By the time we reach, it was night time already. :)

DAY 5 - HONGKONG

Woke up and decided to have breakfast at the cafe just beside our hotel, our dear Leiwin refused to eat but couldn't resist the temptation from both of us and ended up ordering breakfast for herself too! The food was nothing fantastic but we were amused by Leiwin's breakfast!

We spent probably more than an hour in H&M @ Tsim Sha Tsui and headed to Harbour Front Centre to look for my cosmetics! But all we saw were branded goods so we went down to Causeway Bay instead. :)

Lunch at Cafe de Coral! My fav place to eat muahahahaha!

We headed down to Time Square but they did not have the things I was looking for. ): Luckily my HK friend helped me but we had to go back to Harbour Front City. =.=
So here we are again!

*AHEM* I don't know them.
LOL.

Back to Mongkok for dinner and settled down at a small Thai restaurant. :) They have nice food! :D

Leiwin had her sweet potato dessert craving since afternoon but we couldn't find any dessert shop! So we walked passed this lady selling sweet potato and she just bought it despite we just stepped out from the restaurant. Hahahaha!

The day before Leiwin had wanted to bring us there but we couldn't find it. So we took a cab and tadaa~!

DAY 3 - HONGKONG

Short post, because I didn't go with Min & Leiwin for almost the whole day. It was a meet-up day for me! :D

I visited my relatives in the morning and afternoon met up with my childhood friends, Emily, Wenjing (and Kristal but she could not make it that day)! It has been 10 years since I last saw them! All of us had grown so much, and so many changes happened. It was a pity we couldn't talk too long. Time passed really fast when we have so much to talk about. :) Will definitely meet them up again when I visit HK next time. :DD

DAY 2 - GUANGZHOU TO HONGKONG

We intended to wake up at 8.30am but I guessed we were too comfortable, so ended up waking up around 10am plus. ;p We settled our brunch at their buffet and left to take train to Hongkong! :D

At Guangzhou Railway Station. :)

In Guangzhou-Kowloon Through Train, 2 hours of train ride! :D

Finally reached Hongkong at about 4pm plus and checked in at Metro Park Hotel Kowloon. It's a small 3-star hotel but has good location, cuz it's pretty near Mongkok!! ;p Has free shuttle bus service to the centre of Mongkok if you are lazy to walk, and they also take guests to Tsim Sha Tsui where all the must-go shopping malls are located! Comfortable ride and save on transport $$ hahahaha!!
So we met up with my godfather to change some HKD. We then walked around Mongkok area while waiting for Leiwin to join us! Her flight was delayed (We had no idea until she met us and told us.) and we were so worried that she couldn't find us LOL. It was pretty late by the time she reached the hotel, so we rested a little and headed over to the Ladies' Market! Min got so excited and can't wait to spend money already! :D

Okay I shall start updating my Guangzhou + Hongkong trip with Shimin & Leiwin! :D

20th March 2011

I have been really looking forward to this trip. :D Didn't manage to sleep before the flight cuz I have lots to pack! My mum always wants me to help her buy things and bring to China. LOL. But I was still pretty energetic by the time I am done and prepared for the flight. :) Shimin came over to stay the night and HF drove us to the airport early morning. <3

Arrived at Guangzhou Bai Yun International Airport!

The journey was quite smooth. Except the unfriendly cab driver we met. )< Rest for awhile at my house and we then explored the shopping areas near my house. We both eyed a few things but we decided to hold on to the temptation! Who knows if there are better deals later right! ;p

So in the evening we set off to South America Grand Hotel for a 24 hours of pampering! Within these 24 hours, you can enjoy sauna, steaming, buffet (You can eat all you want!), individual big sofa bed with television attached to sleep in the night at just RMB196/pax inclusive of service charge. GOOD DEAL RIGHT!? There are also other services and entertainments at additional charges but they are really not that expensive! We took up a RMB338++/pax package that inclusive of 5 different types of massages and 2 other services! (The entrance fee of RMB196 is voided if you take up this package, but the value of the services have to be at RMB338 or above, if not they will still charge you the entrance fee.) So at the end of the day, we spent RMB385.50 each, which is about SGD80 or SGD90! If you do not want to spend that much, just spend RMB196 and enjoy all those basic services, and that is still less than SGD50! By the way, I have stayed in their hotel before and the services are quite good too! :) Worth a try if you go to Guangzhou. :D (No photos cuz no camera allowed. D:)

So that's our first day and we were all ready to play hard for the rest of our trip! :DD

Met HF at midnight and had supper at the middle of nowhere cuz he said it was ROMANTIC. LOL. He then refused to tell me where he wanted to bring me to breakfast but wanted me to meet him at 9.30am, but we both ended up overslept and met at 10.30am hehehehehe! So his surprised breakfast was Dim Sum at Red Star Restaurant, no photos cuz I was still in half-sleepy mode. ;p

Went home to change and ended up in KBox hahahaha!

Off to Ikoi Japanese Restaurant for buffet! :)

He ate surprisingly little, and the waitress keep providing us with complimentary dishes. We felt sleepy and he blamed it on salmon! xD But the food are quite nice and worth the $35++/per pax. :D

It was simple but we enjoyed ourselves. :D Like every couple, we had happy times as well as times where our relationship was rather rocky. But we believed, and fought through. :)

Another meet up with girlfriends! We gave Shimin a birthday treat at Bishan Din Tai Fung and after that we talked so much! (I shall keep the details to ourselvesl lol!) The topics are never ending, I love how we girls can just start on something and we will not stop talking. :D

Leiwin & I were busy eating once the food came while Shimin & Geena couldn't stop taking photos with their birthday presents! LOL. Both Leiwin & I were starving so we just wouldn't care about them. xD

Happy girls! :DD After probably 10 minutes, they finally settled down and we eat in silence. LOL we all were too hungry to utter a word. ;p

We planned a very simple surprise celeration with the rest for Shimin at 12am. I wanted to laugh so much when she guessed that we wanted to put fireworks for her hahahaha! Min, I will leave that job for your Mr. Right! :D

Looking at our photos, I can't believe all of us have grown so much. We were once small girls and small boys playing BLOCK CATCHING and "TOMATO" (Remember the game? LOL). We went through so many things, happy and sad, and when we talked about them again, we couldn't stop laughing at how silly we all were. But I believed these memories will never be forgotten and our friendship will always remain as strong as ever or if not better. :D

Advanced Birthday Celebration.

After 3 years of struggling, I am finally done with Poly life a week ago! Okay, unoffically. LOL. Many said that Poly life is the best period in their schooling life, well, I said otherwise, but I shall elaborate no further.

But of course there are friends who made my days in Ngee Ann memorable. I will always remember them. :))

Anyway, after months and months of calling, finally we have a 858 Clique gathering with everyone around! Houwen & Damien are so busy with whatever they are doing that we practically had to drag them out. LOL unlucky for them, we caught them in AMK when we girls went to have KBox a few days before the gathering. ;p

Initial plan was to celebrate Geena's birthday, but we later decided to celebrate Shimin's and Damien's too. :D And the waiter at Sakura made such an embarrassing mistake by taking the wrong cake. =.= I think there must be more than 3 tables celebrating birthday that day hahaha!

We were too busy eating so no photos taken of the long table full of food. xD

It was a very simple night but I believed most of us enjoyed. :) Went to catch Big Mama while Houwen, Leona & Damien left (Houwen was yawning away lolol). Great show! Worth catching it. :D I am glad my tummy is safe this time round hahaha (I had stomach flu when I had Sakura with Abel & Jiabao last time D<).

CNY 2011 Day 1.

Chinese new year had never been a special occasion to me every since I step foot into Singapore for the very simple reason, my family is not with me. I have uncles and aunties who I have spent the past 10 CNYs with, but the feelings is just not the same.

This year is no exception, but maybe this is the first year where I really spent the CNY eve alone in the house since Linh went back to Vietnam, so it felt really empty. (But HF came later in the night to accompany me. :D) Anyway, I went to visit an uncle's house on CNY day 1 and spent a great afternoon with Jialing in Haji Lane. Lol, no, we weren't shopping there since most of the shops are closed, we had many funny photoshoots and couldn't stop laughing when we were looking through at night. :D

It's been awhile...

I can't believe this is my first post in 2011. Kinda lost touch of blogging for awhile. Coming back from holiday it's just like facing the reality once again. *SIGH* Time flied so fast, I will be graduating in 2 months's time. What's ahead of me are all question marks due to many many unfair, hard-to-explain & can't-bear-to-let-go reasons.

I had a really simple birthday this year, spent it just like another day. I came to realised that birthday is not much of a significance as we age. But I do appreciate a few love ones who took the effort to make it special for me. Thank you so much. :)

CNY is coming, massive spring cleaning is in progress! I want a clean house to welcome the Year of Rabbit. :D I am not asking the coming year to be an awesome one, I am just asking it to be a better year.

Just a short update with photos. :)

It was such a long and tiring journey to travel to the other part of the world. T.T Singapore -> Dubai -> Casablanca -> Freetown, took me almost 2 days to reach. I wonder how my mum manage to tolerate this kind of journey few times a year.

Anyway, I have been here for a few days now, nothing much seem to have change for this town, maybe a little. Weather is incredibly HOT and the place is.. DUSTY.

My parents' 15 ducks lol, all day eat, stone, fight & sleep. =.=

Universal Studio Singapore

Visited Universal Studio Singapore yesterday with Jingting, Jiabao & Abel. :) We were lucky to get in with discounted price (thanks to Abel), or else I guessed I will never step a foot into USS because it is so expensive. ):

Thank God the weather was clear in the afternoon, but it was kinda blazing hot so we were sweating like pigs, but still we managed to have fun! (;

Everything in USS is made very closely to what we have seen in tv, movie and in real life (probably, since I have never been to US), I guessed that explains the expensive ticket. The concept is pretty much the same as Disneyland, but with different themes and characters. ((:

Settled our lunch at Loui's Signature Pizza.

I had a meatball pasta while the 3 of them ordered pizza, we were so shocked to see the size of the pizza when the waiter came. LOL

We intended to take a photo of this famous feature in the daytime but we came out later than expected. =.= Oh well.

Dropped by the largest candy store in Singaopre (according to either Jingting/Abel, can't remember, but is it true? LOL). I was just seconds from collapsing so I was just hanging behind like a zombie while Jiabao was shining with sparks in her eyes. She has a thing for these things haha. :D

So the trip was great afterall, I have missed the 3 of them, school without them is just weird. ): Lucky I have Kezia and Meiyin or else I think I will be so emo hahaha. Still, I guessed USS is not a place for me to return, I personally don't think it is a must-go place, but of course no harm going if you don't mind the cost. It's an eye-opener experience. :)

Holiday usually means watching dramas for me. :) I love Hongkong dramas in particular, their story lines are always well planned, and they often reflect details that happen in our everyday life, 人生如戏 (direct translation: life is just like a show, pardon my limited vocabulary LOL), how true this is.

I usually don't blog about shows that I've watched, but I think The Beauty of the Game (美麗高解像) is an excellent portrait of the reality.

The show talks about 3 famous celebrities who are willing to do everything to be the winner in the entertainment industry, even it means by hurting the people who care about them. I would not say it's only the 3 of them, many people in the show are actually trying hard too, but the 3 ladies are the significant ones.

We often hear that the entertainment industry is complicated, I have no idea how true it is, perhaps because they have the spotlights, hence we got to see their ugly sides through media. But in fact, the reality we are living in is not any less complicated, it's just that our lives are not published.

I used to think human relationship is easy to maintain as long as you are true to the people around you, the right will always be justified. But how naive I have been. I have met people who are truly care about me, but I also have met those who hurt me badly. And sad to say I am not even in the working industry yet. Over the years, I have learned to wear a shield, I avoid any opportunities that could led me into any politics. Yes, I am selfish. I want to protect myself, because no one else will. I have learned my lesson, a lesson that I will never forget.

A friend who is your best friend forever can betray you any minute for any reason. A person who is blinded by glory may walk the wrong path. A person can be your good friend so she/he can use you to get rid of someone else. A true friend can become an enemy to you because you refused to admit that you are in the wrong.

People says that it is unfair that certain people who has connections is at advantage, they also says that as long as you have the ability, others will eventually see it. But if you are not given the opportunity, which usually by means of connections, how many of us are lucky to gain that opportunity? Ironic eh?
I am a hypocrite, I admit that. But who is not? Unconsciously, everyone wears a different mask with different people. How rarely do we actually put down the masks because we know we don't have to be on guard?

If only the reality can be simpler, but as long as there are people, there are complications.

Byebye Nokia, and hello to Blackberry!

So, I previously owned a Nokia E71 Black, don't get me wrong, I still love that phone, and I kinda miss it sometimes. I love the metallic cover which gives a very classic look, the keypad is extrmemely comfortable to type hahaha! And the battery life is superb! Unlike the Sony Ericsson phones that I used, their battery life is pathetic. =.= BUT, for some I-am-just-lazy-to-explain-again reasons, I sold it before it's too late. *Heart shattered*

And, I got myself a Blackberry Bold 9700 in Onyx! Okay, basically it's in black but I think they call it in onyx so it sounds more sophisticated LOL. Honestly, I really really really really wanted to get the white one T.T, but considering that I might have to use this phone for a longer period than I used to, (Because my mum had warned me not to change phone any time soon, which is quite impossible for me if any phone caught my eyes, but I WILL TRY.) I guessed I'll better play safe. (:

I never like putting cover case for my phones because I just do not like my phone to be thicker than it already is. And pouches are just a pain as well. But this BB is rather prone to scratches so I just had to get one. =.= I wanted to find a bling bling cover case, (OMG, that sounds girly I know, but I wanted something for a change. xD) and I just couldn't even find one! So I settled with a metallic ruby red which I think it goes well with my BB! (I didn't have much choices since I do not like rubber cover cases and other colors are plain UGLY.) Red is kinda growing on my recently hahaha! It never goes wrong with black, bleah.

Having been using it for about 2 weeks, I have to say Blackberry phones are NOT user friendly. The settings were causing me headache LOL, but it's fine after I done with it. And for some reason I just keep getting typo with my BB, although I got used to my E71's keypad fairly quickly, weird. -,- The camera is quite good too! Better than the E71, I realised Nokia phones have pretty sucky cameras. Not that it matters since I prefer cameras hahaha.

I have not sign up for data plan yet, since I am home online almost 24/7 these days. Will wait till after my one and only paper. You will probably see me very active in Twitter LOLOL.

Did I mention that HF got himself an IPhone 4? Hahaha okay the phone is really classic, but it's so dangerously heavy that it just seems to scream in my face "DO NOT DROP ME OR I WILL JUST CRACK!" Oh well. I was once tempted to get it but then, since I already own an IPod Touch, and I don't really fancy touchscreen phones, I sticked to my BB. Maybe, if one day I change my mind about touchscreen phones, I might consider getting it. (;

I can't wait for Thurs to be over! >.>

Despicable Me, like finally!

BonitoChico's 4th Birthday Bash.

Linh and I attended BonitoChico's 4th Birthday Bash yesterday afternoon at ZIRCA. (: I was curious so I persuaded her to come with me. :DD Given that one ticket costs $15, yet we had to queue up really early to receive their goodie bags and we actually entered the place much later than stated, I would say the party was good, but not exactly great. [: I was actually expecting a cake, LOL. I mean, we are celebrating it's birthday, right? Haha. Many girls had to stand and I seriously can feel their pain (many of them are wearing HEELS).

But still, it's some experience and it worths my $15. :D We were lucky that we queued up early, I heard some girls at the very back missed part of the show. ): And did I mention that we have free entrance to ZIRCA for that night? But no, I am not going hahaha! Anyway, I was sitting at a not-so-good spot, so photos taken were horrible lols. *Don't mind me playing with the effects hehe xD* I seriously need to get my camera back from my mum. Ha!

It was Ah Le who introduced BC to me, but I was not keen in online shopping at that point so I never pay much attention to it. And it was when I started reading forums that I knew more about the blogshop and now I am addicted! T.T Haha. I am never the one who can shop at retail shops one by one, and I can never imagine how the clothing will look like on a person while it is on the hanger. LOL. So, online shopping makes shopping so much easier for people like me! xD

But what I love about BC it's their exclusive manufactured designs (different from retail shops) and they are affordable! Of course, not all the quality can make you go wow and it just drive you up the wall at the times where your emails are replied slow. (x

Still, it's inspiring to see how a blogshop can come this far. It does take a lot of patience and perseverance to achieve such success. And of course supports from customers like us, bleah. I can literally see at least a girl wearing BC's clothing whenever I am out. (I supposed it's not a bad thing as long as I don't bump into someone wearing the same clothes as me hahahaha!)

I came across this cafe/restaurant, whatever you call it, while reading blogs. And I was really curious, and I LOVE FRIES! LOL. So I know I have to check it out, I dragged HF to accompany me and we went to the Joo Chiat branch. :DD
